Gunallo 2009 On Property Sale Report
Gunallo celebrated its 30th on property sale with its highest average to date.
44/48 Poll Merino’s sold to $1,700 and average $882 (3 sold afterwards)
8/8 Merino’s sold to $1,300 and average $906
A further 17 rams sold in mini auction to $550
The 2009 sale rams were presented in magnificent order ready to reap the rewards of a change in direction of the stud.
Ray Schroeder said at the opening of the sale the wools at Gunallo are a feature of the stud, stylish, free growing white wools with a concentration to continually improve the carcase and structure of the sheep.
26 registered buyers provided strong bidding throughout the sale with plenty of opportunity for buyers in a very even line-up.
Highest price in the Polls was lot 1 for $1700 purchased by Neil & Margaret Hampton, Murray Bridge, who also purchased lot 3 at $1600.
Top priced Merino’s of $1300 was reached twice in the 1st pen of Merino’s. Buyer of HB 30 @ $1300 was Allan & Sue Dawson, Winyar Stud, Canowindra, NSW.
Buyer of HB 2 also @ $1300 was DG & EG Heintze, Murrayville.
